General information
Arrival & Departure Our eight day trips start on Sunday at 15.00 and end on the next Sunday at 9.00. Our four day trips start on Sunday 15.00 and finish on Wednesday at noon. Starting point is Oosterdok pier 4 , Amsterdam. BicycleIncluded in the price of the tour we offer a twenty four gear long distance tracking bicycle from Gazelle suitable for cyclist from 4' 10" body length. This bicycle is equipped with a gel saddle and Multigrip handle bar. Gazelle is the top brand in the Dutch bicycle industry and offers a guarantied magnificent cycling experience.
On request we can provide you with another bicycle, tandem or an extra childseat (usually this will mean also another type of bicycle). Please make note of your wishes on the reservation form. You can also bring your own bicycle, however this does not reduce the price of the tour. A bicycle insurance is obligatory The cost will be 14 Euro per bicycle. The insurance is subject to conditions that will be send to you on request or can be obtained on board.
Bicycle HelmetWearing a bicycle helmet in Holland is not required it is however of course safer to wear one. A bicycle helmet can be rented on the Elodie for € 10,- per tour.
Travel and cancellation conditions We reserve the right to cancel a trip if there are less than eight participants four weeks before the beginning of the trip. In this case we will suggest suitable alternatives if available. If the alternative is not to your satisfaction you will get a full refund of the amount you had already paid. Cancellation by the participant will have to be done in writing. Cancellations by the participant six weeks before the start of the trip will result in a 70 % refund of the total amount. Cancellations within six weeks of the beginning of the trip will not result in a refund. We recommend to insure this risk at you local insurance agent. On request we will sent you our travel and cancellation conditions.
Bookings Bookings are based on two persons per cabin. If you would like a single cabin for one person use we need to charge 50% extra. If you are willing to share the cabine with another person (of the same sex) we will not charge you the extra 50%. The number of single cabins we want to offer are limited. The upper bed in the three person cabin is suitable for children but can also be used by adults. The third person in this cabin will receive a reduction of € 150,- per week

Parking in Amsterdam Prices vary from € 95,00 to € 200,00 per week.

There is a maximum of 18 persons. They come from all over the world but mainly form Europe, North America, Australie and South Africa.
Our tours are suitable for children. We would strongly advise you to take a combination bicycle or tandem if you are in doubt of your child's ability to cycle the daily miles on their own bicycle. It is important your child can control the bike safely and keep up with the group. There is a 35 % discount for children up to the age of 12 years for each child accompanied by one adult. back
We serve a variety of very good quality meals with fresh vegetables and fruits. Meat and fish are baked in oil and we have fresh home made desserts. Within reasonable limits our chef can prepare diet meals. The charge for extra preparations and/or ingredients will be € 40,- per person per week and € 20, - for the 4 day tours. Please make a note on the reservation form if you require a diet meal. We can not take any responsibility for diets that are sensitive to serious health problems.
When it is not possible to cycle due to extreme weather conditions (which hardly ever occur) the guide will arrange an alternative program. This can be an excursion and a longer visit to one of the towns. -Comfortable rooms with wooden furnishing, -Two lower beds with bed lights, -Air-conditioning individually controlled per cabin, -Private facilities in a separate room; toilet, shower and washbowl. -Three (small) windows per cabin, -A wardrobe and two cupboards. We advise you not to take big suitcases. Your cabin will be cleaned daily, this will mean we empty out the dustbin, check of you need clean towels or toilet paper and if necessary vacuum clean the room. Once a week we will clean your washbowl, mirror toilet and shower
Can I choose my own itinerary ? Maps are provided on board so you can make more or sometimes less miles and visit places of special interest to you. On several tours it is also to make less miles than the standard program your guide will do with the group. If so you can find the mileage in the description of your daily tour program The guide can help you to plan your own alternative route.
Cycling experience and general physical condition required When you join our cycle tours you will require cycling experience and a good physical condiotn. On all our tour guided or non guided you will participate at your own risk. We are not responsible for accidents during your bicycle trip.
Cycle Miles and your own itinerary All distances are estimates and can if possible be varied to you abilities and liking. Maps are provided on board so you can make a longer route or visit some special places of interest. The guide can help you make your own alternative route. The guided tour will follow the program as mentioned. Depending on wind, weather , tide and availability of mooring places it is possible that the ship can drop you of at a point along the tour to shorten the daily cycle miles. After the dropping the Elodie has to continue to its destination to meet its schedule
